I'm Noel Hernon, a final year graphic design student, studying at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland. This website was created to showcase my final year project called Peanut. It documents the process from inception to completion, giving a look into the complex and broad work involved in the undertaking of a major design project.
The brief for this project is a response to the theme of Socially Responsive Design. Which is all about focusing on highlighting a specific social issue to create awareness and impact, in order to bring about positive social change.
I will be exploring a few different social themes, focusing heavily on the research aspect to gain a good understanding of the topics before choosing only one topic to develop further. The end goal being to create something with lots of energy and ambition in the hope of using the medium of design to bring about positive social change.
